2017 was a year stuffed with content for us to podcast; looking back, we somehow completed a whopping 130 podcasts for the year. What does 2018 hold for us? Here's a month-by-month breakdown.
January: Easy by comparison, we'll cover four episodes of Star Trek: Discovery and four episodes of Agents of SHIELD and the final two episodes of Marvel's Runaways.
February: Star Trek: Discovery wraps its first season with its final two episodes, and Agents of SHIELD presumably continues for all four Fridays. We'll also review Black Panther the weekend of the 16th. Live tweeting The Walking Dead continues for the remainder of its season eight run.
March: Agents of SHIELD continues, perhaps for four Fridays (with Good Friday off?); add to the mix Jessica Jones, which drops on International Women's Day, the 8th. Our goal is to cover all 13 episodes in about a month.
April: You guessed it: Agents of Shield continues for four Fridays, and we conclude Jessica Jones early in the month. We also wouldn't rule out Cloak and Dagger starting its 10 episode run around this time but, as of publishing this post, we don't have a date.
May: If Agents of Shield takes no breaks and doesn't double up episodes, that would leave only one episode left for May. (More likely is that SHIELD takes a few breaks along the way, and we have more than one episode to conclude the 5th season.) Late May also brings the waiting game: will SHIELD be renewed? We'll also hit the movies twice: a review for Avengers: Infinity War and for Solo: A Star Wars Story.
June: Give a baby thumbs up: Deadpool 2 arrives the first weekend of June and with it comes a review from us! Also, we'd peg the summer as a likely start for the second season of Westworld, which we'll live tweet.
July: Completely spitballing here, but it's possible Luke Cage arrives in the summer; regardless, we'll podcast all 13 episode of that as well, perhaps in less than a month. We'll also give a review for Ant-Man and the Wasp.
August: With Luke Cage presumably concluding and a quiet month at the movies, this might be a great time for us to return to some Star Trek essentials. We'll see.
September: Hopefully we'll be gearing up for season six of Agents of SHIELD.
October to December: This is also a possible time for 13 episodes of Daredevil, which started filming in November 2017. (Typically, Marvel/Netflix shows arrive about a year after filming begins.) In terms of movies... maybe Venom in October? Maybe the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in December? It'll be curious to hit the last three months of the year with no geeky offerings from Disney, i.e. a Marvel or Star Wars film. Lastly, it's probably a decent bet to look for part of a Star Trek: Discovery season before the end of the year.
